Violence in Israel
2 Apr 2002
Observers in Israel are becoming increasingly concerned about the heightened violence there. Gregory T MacMullet, a reasonably insane Scottish military expert who went to Israel specifically to get shot at, told DeadBrain via a stolen videophone, "It's totally crazy here – there's bullets and tanks and shit all over the place!" The Palestinian authorities have denied that the situation is too serious, though, saying, "What's a few bullets between sworn enemies? If things were really that bad John Simpson would be here liberating us."
Train Spotters Released
26 Apr 2002
The trial of twelve Greek train spotters drew to a dramatic close in Bristol today. Four women and eight men had been charged with espionage by police after attempting to gather the serial numbers of trains. However, Judge Douglas Ramsbottom QC threw the case out on the grounds that no trains had been seen in the area for "at least three months".
How cool is this?
