Widdecombe Legal Challenge
24 Jan 2002
The battle to have Ann Widdecombe reinstated, led by the Bring Back Ann Widdecombe Campaign, may be taken to the courts after a legal challenge was made by another pressure group with the same initials. The Ban Bogroll in All WCs group, which was formed by a number of Green Party rejects and the late cousin of Phoenix the Calf, insists that it used the initials first.
Gregory T Mullet, who is leading the campaign, is angry that the Widdecombe supporters have "stolen" their initials. Speaking from a small fudge factory in Eastern Samoa, Mr Mullet told bemused workers and a misplaced journalist, "It is very unfair that that Widdecombe lot have stolen our initials. We do not want our serious campaign, which could have a major impact on the lives of millions, to be associated with a bunch of loonies. We'll fight them all the way!"
This looks good...
