Channel 4: No old places left
6 Jan 2002
Representatives from hit Channel 4 TV series Time Team today revealed that they had run out of old places to dig up. Speaking at a press conference situated on "a fairly old bit of mud" in Norfolk, distressed presenter Tony Robinson told journalists, "there just aren't any old places left – we’ve dug them all up. The future looks very grim for us."
But producers of the show refuse to give up. According to a leaked memo from Executive Producer Douglas Ramsbottom OBE, the show will be renamed "Time Team Revisited", and the band of merry archaeologists will "travel round all the old places we've already dug up to see if they are still old". TV critics predict the new format will be a big success, "just like Survivor".
Go on, have a look at this...
