UK delegates to this week's EU conference in Barcelona are said to be "shocked" after over 1,000 anti-capitalist demonstrators were turned away by police. Advisors travelling with Tony Blair remarked exclusively to DeadBrain and everyone else in the pub, "You wouldn't get this sort of thing happening in Britain. For a start, our rails and roads just couldn't cope with a thousand people all heading in the same direction at once, and we haven't got enough police to hold them back even if they do get there!"

Back home, the Conservative Party have been quick to condemn the Prime Minister's friendship with the Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi. Shadow Home Secretary Oliver Letwin told journalists, "It's just not right that Tony Blair goes around befriending right-wing Italian loonies.
