John Major could face legal action, it emerged today, after yesterday's revelation that he had an affair with Edwina Currie. Solicitors representing "the general public" said that the country was "sickened by the thought of those two shagging" and that for the sake of society as a whole they should earn some money suing him.
Grey-haired former PM Major, who was best known for being, er, grey, confirmed that the allegations made by Currie in her new book were true, adding that he was very ashamed.
Lady Archer, wife of the disgraced Lord Archer and a well-known authority on telling the truth, said that she was shocked that an affair had taken place, but even more shocked at Major's "poor taste" and the fact that anyone wanted her to talk about it. The general public has unanimously declined to comment with unity, although a man with a big green nose said that he liked "picturing [his] parents on the job", or something similar.
