Guantanamo boss sacked for being "too nice"
The man in charge of the controversial Guantanamo Bay prison camp was sensationally sacked this week, it emerged on Wednesday. Brigadier-General Rick Baccus was responsible for running the camp in Cuba for Taleban prisoners brought over from Afghanistan, but sources at the Pentagon told the Washington Times that he was "too nice".

"The way Baccus runs the camp is ridiculous," grumbled the unnamed source last week. "The prisoners get fed - not just every week but every day, they're allowed to walk about, and they're even allowed to talk to each other! I mean what the hell does he think he's playing at? Next thing you know he'll be letting people who haven't been found guilty of a crime see lawyers and maybe even get out of there! It's plain stupid, he's got to go."

Representatives from the Red Cross have long complained about the conditions in the camp. Gregory T van Mullet, a Dutch aid worker who spent time in an Afghan jail, told DeadBrain that the conditions were "terrible". "I've experienced conditions like that myself and they're not at all nice," he told our man in Amsterdam. "Fortunately for me I was only booked in at Butlins for a week, but those guys are stuck there. I can't imagine what they're going through."

Oi, down here!
