Dubya's War

U.S. bombs "strategically-important" market
The United States carried out further bombing raids on Baghdad last night in a continuation of the war in Iraq. Speaking to troops in Florida this morning, President Bush described the target, a small market and shopping district, as "strategically vital" to the war effort. "In this meeting place hundreds people who could potentially be fanatical supporters of Saddam Hussein could quite possibly have been plotting to attack the West in some horrible and gruesome way," he explained amid random loud cheering from the overexcited soldiers. "They won't be getting us now, if indeed that's what they were thinking of doing. We got ‘em and we got ‘em good!"

British officers stationed in the Gulf were more apologetic. RAF Group Captain Douglas Ramsbottom told DeadBrain that "war is not risk-free". "Sometimes there's a risk the Americans will hit the right target, too," he added.
