| "Evil Rapist" Leslie possibly not guilty 31 Jul 2003 by Andrew Doe The man Ulrika Jonsson didn't say raped her walked free from court today after charges of sexual assault involving somebody who wasn't Ulrika Jonsson were dropped. Although the CPS's decision to drop the charges against him has no bearing on the question of whether or not he raped Ulrika Jonsson, the development has once again highlighted the possibility that he did do it and reaffirmed several tabloid hacks' views that he did. "Today's courtroom drama has proved beyond doubt that John "Evil Rapist" Leslie is an evil rapist," said Mirror reporter Doug Ramsbottom. "Obviously he's technically an innocent man, no stain on his character and all that, so we've got to be careful how we say it, but he's definitely an evil man who deserves to be pursued by photographers 24/7." In her best-selling autobiography, Jonsson claimed that she was raped by an un-named male presenter whilst working as a weathergirl for TVam. While many believe that this man was John "Evil Rapist" Leslie, others have suggested that it could just as easily have been Michael Barrymore or Matthew Kelly, both of whom, like Leslie, are completely evil and have never been convicted of a sex attack. After Leslie was accidentally named as somebody who might be the subject of Jonsson's vague allegation, a further 20 women came forward to say that they too were raped by the alleged evil serial rapist. Undeterred by the fact that only three of these women spoke to the police, both the media and the Crown Prosecution Service set about bringing the by now notorious alleged evil serial rapist to justice. "Evil" Leslie was sacked after refusing to deny the vague and unsubstantiated allegations until charged, and subsequently lost his home. Technically he is correct in saying that he has been cleared of all the charges against him and now hopes to rebuild his shattered career. However, alleged monster Leslie had also been shamed for the use of drugs after one national newspaper published pictures of him snorting cocaine at a party, so even if he isn't an evil serial rapist after all, he isn't out of the woods yet. As one unnamed and totally unverifiable TV industry insider told us yesterday, "Cocaine has no place in the TV industry. It is unthinkable that anybody might have a successful career as a TV presenter while using cocaine on a recreational basis."
