Anti-abortion activists promise reprisals against executioners
Following the execution of anti-abortionist Paul Hill on Thursday, campaigners for the abolition of the death penalty have promised a string of reprisals against executioners.

Hill died at 1808 local time, sentenced to death lethal injection for the murder of a doctor and his bodyguard outside an abortion clinic. Outside the Florida abortion clinic where Hill killed a doctor and her driver, pro-life campaigner Prudence Ramsbottom said yesterday: "Abortion is murder. I don't think it is wrong to kill abortion doctors, because that is what they do to babies. Paul Hill did a good thing."

Outside the courthouse, Ethel Mullet of Floridians For Choice told DeadBrain, "When he shot that doctor, Paul Hill committed a crime. He took a life and he should pay for it with his own."

Outside Starke Prison, where the sentence was carried out, Cletus Ramsbottom of the Florida Anti Execution League spoke to the crowd: "The death penalty is institutionalised murder," he said, "and the bible says a life for a life. If you believe that murder is wrong, it is your duty both as a Christian and as an American to kill Florida state prison officers whenever you should see them."

A spokesman for the Florida Prison Officers Association said in a statement yesterday that if this happened, he would instruct members to shoot both Christians and Americans on sight.

Florida Governor Jeb Bush refused to commute Hill's death sentence to life imprisonment, saying it didn't seem fair all the time a few stupid people were still left alive.

In related news, the American Irony Association is reporting no change in membership numbers.

Look at this, moron.
