Arabs regret anti-Kilroy comments
10 Jan 2004 by Joe Dent
Robert Kilroy-Silk, the daytime television presenter most famous for his Birmingham accent, was today said to be in a state of deep shock following scathing comments from Arabs around the world.
Although several leading Arab spokesmen have apologised to the aged Brummie, he remains inconsolable. A close friend told DeadBrain that he is deeply saddened by the cruel words.
The comments came after Mr Kilroy-Silk's show, watched by people not in work or ill, was shown for the first time on Arab television. Although the remarks were many and varied, the phrase that popped up most often was "that smarmy, arrogant bastard". Other words directed towards Mr Kilroy-Silk from Arabs were "oily", "condescending", "slimy", and "smug".
The celebrity's morning show is said to bring comfort to those who feel the need to express their most private and embarrassing secrets to the public. Mr Kilroy-Silk is an expert in helping them achieve this goal.
Earlier, fans of the silver-haired presenter gathered outside his home to show their support. "We love you, Robbie!" cried the several lady admirers, stamping their Zimmer frames in unison.
