Parents warned over extremist behaviour by Home Secretaries

Parents are being warned to watch out for extremist behaviour by Home Secretaries. Examples such as attempts to restrict trial by jury, lock people up without trial for a few months and force every man, woman and child to have an ID card, have been cited as evidence that Britain's Home Secretaries are becoming radicalised and present a growing danger to the British people's freedoms.

"Our fight is not with Home Secretaries generally," said Douglas Ramsbottom, a Muslim community leader in Bootle. "This is a struggle against extremism – yes, we must combat extremism within our communities, but we must also stand up to extreme Home Secretaries who want to lock everyone up."

John Reid, who recently won a competition to find New Labour's "hardest" Home Secretary by "nutting" Jack Straw at a private party, responded to the warning with a counter-warning of his own. "Beards present a real and present danger to the security of this country," he said. "Anyone who grows a beard without a permit will be detained by police."

"This includes David Blunkett," he added.

Professor Gregory T Mullet, a world authority in slightly mad Home Secretaries and a close friend of Michael Howard, told DeadBrain that Dr Reid shows the "tell-tale signs of brainwashing". "He's probably spent some time in the company of Tony Blair," he said, "and I'm certain he's been watching a lot of bad American action films. It's only a matter of time before anyone who looks like Alan Rickman is automatically arrested."
