Seven contestants, one house: you decide.

Oh Brother, the incomprehensible reality TV show that locks up politicians in a house, is back... and this time it's evil. This year's house, a three-bedroom terrace on a council estate in Hull, is unlike anything reality TV has seen before. Designed in the 1960s, it was made to be cheap and practical, but today, like the houses around it, it has fallen into disrepair. Much of the street has been unoccupied for months and, rather than refurbish them, the council decided to bulldoze the houses – until we moved in.

For two weeks only you can watch live as some of the country's top politicians experience the housing crisis firsthand. Gone are the plush surroundings of Downing Street and subsidised accommodation in fashionable London boroughs: the housemates will be living in conditions among the worst in the country – conditions their electorate have to face every day.

Our commentators will be on-hand around the clock to keep you updated on their progress in what would once have been described as a serious social experiment but has now descended into a cynical grab for ratings.

Only one housemate can win and you decide who that will be. We will be running regular polls on the site to decide which of the residents should be evicted and which should stay, so stay tuned...
